My kind of diet

His name is Ray Billie, but they call him Puff Daddy. He's the guy who makes the cream puffs for the Big E, the ginormous fair running through Oct. 1 in West Springfield. The pastries are the snackapalooza's signature dessert. But they're far from the only thing to eat there.

One of the Big E's PR people sent the Globe a modest dining proposal, under the heading "The Big E Diet -- how to survive on 5,000 calories/day." Here it is. The Globe is not responsible for any injuries or poundage incurred during the execution of said diet.

Start the day off right
