« The silly season | Main | Time to make the latkes » Thursday, December 14, 2006Sweet charityChristmas baking isn't for everyone. But everyone loves to indulge in cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats this time of year. Cambridge School of Culinary Arts is coming to the rescue with a bake sale Dec. 17. Chef-instructors and students will offer gingerbread cookies, breads, pastries, coffee cakes, cheesecakes, pies, truffles, and other treats. Best of all, the proceeds of the bake sale go to Share Our Strength, the national hunger relief organization. That's not all: There will also be a raffle with gift certificates and goods donated by restaurants such as Oleana and Davio's, and other businesses such as Whole Foods, Starbucks, and The Spirited Gourmet. For information about the bake sale and raffle call 617-354-2020 or go to cambridgeculinary.com. Posted by Alison Arnett at 04:48 PM
