Going whole wheat

My Sunday bread baking was whole wheat made with a starter. Pretty good stuff, I think, and good for you. But there's no lack of interest in getting on the whole grain bandwagon. In fact, Krispy Kreme, the bastion of sweet nothings, just announced a whole wheat doughnut. Only 180 calories to boot. But is it good for you, I wonder?
