Sweet or sour for Val day

heart.gif

New Year's Eve is big. Mother's Day is really big. But there's nothing on the restaurant calendar like Valentine's Day to bring in the diners.

So it's panic-producing to restaurants that the first snowstorm of the year is predicted for tomorrow. Oh, sure, the latest forecasts this afternoon are saying that most of the heavy stuff may bypass us and head north to ski areas that need it. But Bostonians tend to overreact.

Will the first falling flakes mean that phone lines will light up with cancellations? Or will romantic spirits prevail? After what's a little white stuff on that special day?
