A surprise on Sunday

sherylandjuliefeet.jpg

The Globe Sunday magazine coming out on May 13 will have the last cooking column that Julie Riven and I are writing in that space. I will be writing longer stories for the Food section on Wednesdays (my full-time job at the Globe is Food Editor), and Julie will be writing for the section, too. She's off to France in a few weeks to teach cooking.

We loved writing the column and it was important to us, and I know, to readers, too. We were also the food stylists, which means that we cooked the dishes for the photographs and shopped around for the plates and table settings that went with them. Alas, 25 years of doing both is a long haul and lots of recipes!

Read our farewell in Sunday's magazine. We talk about what's happened in our industry since we started, and a little about us as well. We've passed the whisk to another cook, who will take over the following week.
