Make mine cherry pie

After seeing the new film "Waitress," contributing writer Jonathan Levitt was so intrigued that he went home and started baking. The results included this luscious cherry pie (above).

A story about the pie makers in the movie, how they managed to produce all those gorgeous fruity, custardy, and chocolate-filled rounds, along with the cherry pie recipe, will appear in Wednesday's Food section.
