Another ratatouille

jonratatou.jpg

This ratatouille comes from contributor Jonathan Levitt, who made it yesterday (more inspiration from Remy, the chef of the film Ratatouille). He says it has a slightly jammy quality from cooking onions over a low heat, a smokiness from roasted bell peppers, zucchini that still holds its form, chopped tomatoes sauteed in olive oil very quickly, eggplant tossed in a pan until golden, and olives added at the end for some brine, with fresh basil.

He ate it over grilled bread rubbed with garlic. Look for the recipe in next week's Food section.
