WAGAMAMA
Naughty & nice

Noodle house chain brings buzz to Boston

The new wagamama at Faneuil Hall (the chain's first restaurant in the US) has seating for 130 people at long tables and backless picnic benches.

In Japanese, wagamama means naughty, willful, or selfish. When the first restaurant was set up in London, a chef brought in his bratty daughter. He scolded her, calling her wagamama, and the name launched the chain.
