And the winner is ...With the holiday season upon us, we wanted to get the scoop on what your drink of choice will be for the New Year. We asked Boston.com readers for their very own specialty drink recipes, from name to ingredients, to compete in our Name That Cocktail competition. There were five finalists, and you voted for the winner. The White Snow Cosmopolitan will become a fixture on the Onyx Hotel's Ruby Room cocktail menu in 2006. Congratulations to Prarit Bhargava of Somerville, the inventor of the White Snow Cosmo. First Place
White Snow Cosmopolitan
4 oz. L'orange Grey Goose Vodka
2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 juice small lime
2 oz. white cranberry juice
Shaved or crushed Ice (not cubes!)
Combine vodka, Cointreau, lime juice, and white cranberry juice. Shake with shaved or crushed ice. Pour into martini glass.
The shaved ice will add a "snowy" look to the drink and :) keep it well chilled :). Garnish with a few dried cranberries (Craisins work really well!).

Sunday Bloody Sunday
I call this the Sunday Bloody Sunday, but I suppose it could be renamed the Sunday Ruby Sunday if it's chosen.
1-1/2 oz. Grey Goose vodka
1-1/2 oz. Captain Morgan rum
1-1/2 oz. Malibu rum
Fill with cranberry juice.
Splash with Rose's lime juice.
Serve on the rocks in a highball glass with lime garnish.
This is a strong drink, but you'd never know it by taste. Can also be served as a shot or with less juice in a martini glass with a twist of lime.
