Bostonians usually don't like to follow the lead of Big Apple dwellers, but the Manhattan-based Japanese chain Haru, which opened a restaurant on Huntington Avenue last month, just might make us reconsider. Swinging sister to the Benihana group, the stylish Haru has an expansive menu of Asian fusion cuisine served in ample portions. The big draw, though, is Haru's raw fish concoctions. Alongside different carpaccio, ceviche, sushi, and sashimi, the substantial entrée-sized sushi rolls are a specialty. The aptly named Kiss of Fire ($16) throws jalapeño into the mix with white tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna; the Boston Uncommon ($18) wraps crisped spicy salmon in slivery slices of tuna, avocado, mango, all topped with crunchy black tobago.
