I can scarcely afford to even window-shop at Nordstrom. But I have discovered something there that, happily, falls within my budget: the vaunted store's Cafe Bistro. Here, you can get a cup of soup for $3.50, and the most expensive thing on the menu is the steak pommes frites for $16.95. Most dishes hover between $9 and $12 - probably ...
