The Yard House, a chain started in Southern California, has arrived in the Northeast, here at Legacy Place. Dishes range from rice bowls to top sirloin, many with an Asian-fusion twist. Beers — there are 130 — are grouped into flavor profiles and a flight of six changes each week. Crispy blue crab cakes (right) with mango papaya chutney, passion fruit beurre blanc, and tomato oil is fresh and pretty, as is Hawaiian poke stack with marinated raw ahi and crispy wontons, and a slow-cooked jambalaya. Spicy green papaya salad and Thai basil pesto give jumbo coconut shrimp a new dimension. Generous appetizers can become light meals, house favorites are priced in the teens, and entrees run from $15 to $30. It’s not haute cuisine, but it is very good.
