The art of Michael Mazur
According to his website, michaelmazurart.com, Michael Mazur "has been making prints, drawings and paintings for 45 years." Mazur passed away Tuesday of congestive heart failure at the age of 73.
Mazur's art - which features prints winding into expressionism, realism, and abstraction - has been shown in Boston's Museum of Fine Arts, New York's Museum of Modern Art, New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and in Chicago, San Francisco, Canada, England, Italy, Germany, Colombia, South Korea, and Australia. Born and raised in New York City, Mazur has recently been based in Provincetown.
