There are no video games about Boston.

Aside from the ones set in Fenway, Gillette, and the Garden, or a Microsoft Flight Simulator flying into Logan, there's nothing in the wide world of video gaming based in the city itself. So we've come up with a few ideas of our own.

Need for Speed: Back Bay
Drag racing down Newbury Street anyone? Don't take out the tables at Stephanie's, but there's a secret bonus stage if you swing right and get into the parking garage near Hereford. How about a weather and sunlight-accurate time trial from the Tip O'Neill Tunnel to the Braintree split on I-93 at 5 p.m. on a Friday? Bonus points if you can do it in under an hour.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Prudential Potential
In the spirit of one of the most successful video game franchises ever, you play the leader of an international anti-terrorism Special Forces team. Terrorists have hijacked the busy Prudential Center mall and the 52-story tower: Only you can save the thousands of convention tourists, college students, and employees locked inside.

The Casino Kid: Massachusetts
Going way back to the original Nintendo game, with a twist: all your favorites - blackjack, slots, roulette, and poker - served up by dealers who say "Go sawks!" If you're from New York, you automatically lose.

Guitar Hero Southie
Featuring 10 songs by the Dropkick Murphys - the first game ever with a virtual bagpipe.

Tony Hawk's Wicked Skate
Tony meets hardy local professional skateboarders Ryan Gallant, Andy McDonald, and PJ Ladd. They get into a series of adventures, like trying to time a photograph while you're nailing a backflip from a ramp over a Green Line train, or grinding the long railing outside TGI Friday's at Brigham Circle.
