Rumors, secrets in international chess
Secrets in International chess have a low half-life, and as the Bilbao portion of the Grand Slam Masters tournament approached, rumors had appeared that Ex-World Champion Garry Kasparov and Hikaru Nakamura of the U.S. might just be involved in a training pact of some sort. When queried about the possibility of collaboration, Hikaru’s “No Comment …’’ was enough to convince the public that an arrangement already existed. Shortly thereafter, Hikaru gave chess correspondent Macauley Peterson a candid interview, the substance of which appears in the current issue of “New In Chess’’
