NEW YORK—Moody's Investors Service raised some of Central European Media Enterprises Ltd.'s ratings Tuesday, citing its solid financial performance.

The ratings agency lifted the corporate family rating and the ratings on its senior unsecured notes one notch in junk status to "Ba2" from "Ba3." The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the upgrade reflects the company's intention to keep debt below a certain level.

CME is a television broadcasting company operating networks in six Central and Eastern European countries.
