NEW YORK—Shares of some top media companies are down at 10 a.m.:

Disney fell $.36 or 1.1 percent, to $31.80.

NY Times fell $.44 or 3.3 percent, to $12.80.

News Corp fell $.12 or .9 percent, to $13.87.

Time Warner fell $.15 or 1.0 percent, to $15.51.

Viacom fell $.06 or .2 percent, to $29.16.
