NEW YORK—Shares of some top media companies are down at 10 a.m.:

Disney fell $.31 or 1.0 percent, to $32.20.

NY Times fell $.55 or 4.0 percent, to $13.09.

News Corp fell $.15 or 1.0 percent, to $14.43.

Time Warner fell $.27 or 1.7 percent, to $16.06.

Viacom fell $.34 or 1.2 percent, to $28.91.
