Best (and worst) movies of 2003From the bomb that was "Gigli" to the successful dynamo of "The Lord of the Rings," 2003 provided moviegoers with some of the best and worst films in years.Boston.com wants to know: What films topped your best and worst lists for 2003 films?
Page 4 One of the worst: Scary Movie 3 LOTR Pirates of the Carribean Mystic River dc, waltham Best: Return of the King, The Magdalene Sisters, and Lost in Translation Worst: Freddie vs. JasonSara, Salem The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Unquestionably the worst film of the year. Arguably the worst film ever. Chris M, Milton Finding Nemo-best 28 days later-OMG the absolute worst horrible horrible horrible bad bad and just very bad. Loren, Norwood For all-arround great acting and special effects, Pirates of the Caribbean. For drama- Sean Penn's superb acting and heart-wrenching story, Mystic River.Pamela Adrian, Reading One of the worst movies had to be "Once upon a time in Mexico". I like Depp, but this was trash. Jim I would have to say that 'Lost in Translation' was the best film of 2003. Everything, from Sofia Coppola's direction, to Lance Acord's cinematography, to the sound-track, to the stunning performances by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, were nothing short of spectacular. I would expect this film to be heard about come Oscar night. Ryan , Santa Clarita, California Anything with that talentless fraud Affleck in it qualifies as the worst. His acting method? Mouth open, look stupid. Jim, Springfield Good God... it has to be Gigli... who wants to see that put on a fake accent? Good heavens. Best... naturally, LOTR... by a landslide. :)H, Boston Didn't see Gigli. But one of the worst films have to be Cold Creek Manor. Advertised as a psychological thriller, ended up being a psychological bore. As for the of the best Finding Nemo is on my list. Mark , Boston
