'The Apprentice' finale"The Apprentice" ended last night with a victory for Bill Rancic, the street-smart 32-year-old Internet entrepreneur. He ended up edging out competitor Kwame Jackson to win a "dream job" working Donald Trump. But, did the best man win the contest? Tell us what you thought of the show's outcome.
Page 2 Kwami was my favorite, but he messed up big time by picking the she-male Omarosa. Sure enough she messed it up for him BIG TIME! I was hoping at the end Omarosa was going to have a confessional and say that she was actually a man.. but alas no luck. I didnt think i could get so pissed at someone on TV but she drove me bananas. DaMoan, Brookline Absolutely! Bill showed leadership abilities in a few of the assignments. I don't think Kwame should have been in the top 2. Clearly, his MBA education got him there and not talent. Angela , Boston This show is so lame and not even close to what happens in the real business world. Just look at Trump's company it's not doing well at all. The guy has an ego as big as his hairdo. Now about the pick, Kwame never had leadership skills and he was always easily intimidating. Not the qualities of a CEO. BostonResident, Boston Definitely thought the right man won the contest after seeing last nights show. The job was Kwayme's for the taking but he screwed up royaly, first by ever even thinking to pick Omarosa for his team. The project was Kwayme's and he chose to delegate responsibilities to people and hope the task would be completed, but obviously he needed to be a more hands on manager and keep track what his people were doing. I don't know how Omarosa can show her face. I can't stand to look at her or hear her speak. Troy is also too much to take. Nice guy but give me a break. He talks to everyone like their little kids getting their first lessons in life. Steve, Quincy I thought Amy was the best man. But Bill was the better of the two finalists. Craig, Leominster I thought it was really a great finale. I loved the touch of bringing everyone back in for the end of the show. For the last few weeks I was pretty certain that Bill would win. However, last night I had some doubts until Omarosa pulled her final stunt. Keeping the Donald waiting?? Not a good idea. Kwame's biggest downfall was choosing Omarosa. I also thought that he wasn't a strong enough manager. There is a fine line between being too nice and yet getting the job done. I do wonder if the show will be as good next time around since now everyone knows what qualities Donald Trump is looking for in a candidate. Part of the fun was in not really knowing that this time. It was a great show. I normally do not watch "reality" TV. This is one I could relate to since I work in a corporate environment. Roberta Warshaw, Brookline Yes. Kwame could have taken it all, but his inablity to deal with Omarosa was his downfall. His comment, "I didn't know I had the option to fire her" was not acceptable. When you're in charge, you'd better know what your options are and you'd better act on them. Frankly I was surprised to see Kwame last as long as he did. While good at what he does, he just seemed to come in under the radar and lasted because he was so laid back. The Donald got rid of the weak, the crazies, the liars and the loud mouths and what he had left was Kwame and Bill. Judith, Boston Both projects, the Golf Tournament and the Concert, were held last fall, sometime in October '03. I am wondering what they have been doing these few months? Since the "hiring" was done "live" yesterday? Hippo, Somerville, MA If Kwame can take that BS from Omarosa and not stand-up to her, would you want him playing a significant role with building a 90 story sky-scraper in Chicago? Now that would have been good comedy for televison "Yo Kwame.....6 windown just fell from the 78th floor" Mr. Muffin, Dist. of Columbia In Donald Trump's empire he has only .001% minorities, so did the 'best man" win, or did Donald make his choice 16 weeks ago? TJ, Chelmsford Only four replied before he's accused of racism...nice! I'll go with what my wife said, "Kwame would have won if he fired Ponderosa." She was ignorant and cost him the game and he didn't do anything about it. Kwame screwed up by keeping Trump waiting and letting Ponderosa "play" with his future. km, NH
