Page 2 would it have been too much trouble for Rachel & Ross to have Emma with them at the end of the show, while they were standing around the empty apartment? or is it that she forgot to phone her mother (who was supposedly flying to Paris with the kid) and tell her that she was not going after all. Hmmm. I think it would have been more neatly tied up that way, especially since the newborns were already in the scene. Laurie, Quincy,MA Lame. My wife and I remember watching the first episode, right after we had moved into our first apartment together. The show had its ups and downs over the years (like that stupid monkey Ross had for awhile) and in the end, it faded away in a poorly-written episode. What is with those ducks? Is that all they could think of for Chandler and Joey to do for half the episode. As for the final Ross/Rachel get together...if he is so much in love with her, why doesn't he move to Paris? Why did that never occur to anyone? Why does Rachel have to stay in New York in order for them to be together? I think they have a few museums in Paris where Ross might be able to find a job. Dave, Needham Glad its over! I was tired of hearing about it! My only other comment: Joey's new show will be cancelled because he's a talentless actor. Lisa, Wakefield I thought the finale was more than enough proof for why the show needed to end. The whole Ross/Rachel plotline was a yawner, and besides that, what really happened? The whole earth-shattering plot essentially turned out to be that two of the 'friends' finally decided to grow up a bit and move to the suburbs. Oh, the horror! I was also a bit disgusted that while Ross did his typical whining about wanting Rachel back, he never once mentioned his daughter Emma. What's that all about? Are we rooting for a guy more concerned with getting tail than raising his kids? All in all, an insipid, uninspiring, undignified ending. John, Norwood I was slightly dissapointed. I was expecting so much more. For a finale It was a C-. Sorry!!! I was hoping at the end they would show the emotional goodbye and take a bow on stage. Gina I watched the last episode of Friends last night and it was nothing special. It wasn't funny. Matt LeBlanc is irritating and untalented. Jenifer Anniston couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Matthew Perry is unfunny... But I digress. I guess he funniest part of Friends is how screwed NBC is and how they are pannicing to find the next show to fill the void. "Must see TV" should be renamed "Take a class on Thursday Night" or "Must see what's on CSI". Unfriendly, Shrewsbury Insipid like the rest of the Friends shows. Chris, Boston I keep hearing that the Friends finale was bland. I don't agree. Although it didn't totally meet up with my expectations, I don't think it could have anyway, it was a perfect end to the show. I love that there were no attempts to have one final twist or anything of that nature. It was treated the same way as it has been for 10 years... and I think it went out gracefully. Well I think we all knew Ross and Rachel would wind up back together, how could they not? I was annoyed that Emma was nowhere to be found... where HAS that kid been all season! I would have liked to have seen her maybe in that final moment in the apartment, Ross Rachel and Emma all together on their road to a happy family perhaps? I would have liked to have seen Ben as well. Although their ending was predictable it was fitting. I do wish there had a bit more of them reuniting and a bit less of Ross looking for her in the airport. But, all's well that ends well. Chandler and Monica got 2 kids! That was a surprise I was not expecting at all. It was a little insane how quickly the babies got to come home but I suppose they had to fit it all in, right? Did anyone else notice that Courtney Cox was showing in that episode? It would have been a really fun twist if in the end, after getting her bundles of joy, Monica and Chandler found out they had, after all, conceived a child. I was kind of hoping for that but oh well. Their storyline went out the right way and a part of me wishes the series would go on just to see some Chandler as a father laughs! I wanted something more to be done with Joey! I was thinking they would feed into his spin off, having him finding out about a job in LA in the end of Friends. I did LOVE that he got a new chick and duck!! His ending was a bit sad, he wasn't really moving on like everyone else. But we get to see him again soon and hopefully his show isn't awful! Phoebe was her usual self and I loved it. I was hoping for more of a conclusion with her and Mike but I guess we're just to assume all is well and good there. I am going to miss this show so much! It started when I was a senior in high school and I have planned my Thursdays around it for 10 years.... Annee, Methuen, MA I thought the final episode, while pretty funny at times, was pretty lame over all, and predictable. I was dissapointed there was not a big cast bow at the end, that would have been nice to see. It was 1000 times better than seinfeld, but as far as these things go,I think even 90210 had it beat. tracey, boston Thank God it's over. If only the specials and articles would end. I look forward to the day (and hopefully it's soon) that I can go at least an hour without hearing about any of it Rachel, Boston
