Page 3 The series ended predictably, but much better than the final episodes for Seinfeld and MASH, which were hyped to the max. Both of those shows had finales that were way too long. Friends was what it was. It didn't try to be intellectually stimulating or gut busting funny. It simply tried to show in a humorous way the lives of six 20 somethings in Manhattan. Was it realistic? No way. Do we care? No, we enjoyed all ten years. Don't take the show too seriously. Just enjoy it in re-runs for what it was...relaxing fun. Chas, Boston I had no doubt that Ross would end up w/Rachel. I'm happy that everything was resolved and I wouldn't have changed the ending. Chandler and Monica will make great parents even to twins. I think the show "Joey" is going to bomb, only because it will have to keep up w/the popularity of friends and I don't believe it will be able to. I give it 3 months. Kerrie Welsh, Wakefield, MA I think it ended true to itself. It didn't try any weird stunts or crazy our of character storylines. They gave the people what they wanted, as an avid fan I was not disappointed in the least. I'll miss this show but I'm happy they didn't try and make the finale something bigger than it should have been. Bravo. Ashely, Boston I'm just glad it's finally over, it was the most overrated show in recent memory, and we now get a primetime slot open for hopefully some better television. Note to NBC: Please, this does not mean you get to fill the opening with another reality show! And that Joey spinoff will be cancelled faster than "The Ropers." In my opinion, "The Jeffersons" (from "Archie Bunker") remains the only and most successful spinoff in television history. Tony, Brookline In the whole ten years I never saw a full episode. It was one of the worst shows on TV. In NYC are you trying to tell me there are only 6 middle class white kids, in a coffee shop that is mostly white. There are no hispanics, blacks or asians in NYC. There are there everytime I go there. How come for ten years they were never represented? Linda, Newton, MA I'm glad it's over. Should have been over 3 years ago. NEXT... BostonResident, Boston I loved the final episode. I, like many, have been waiting for Ross and Rachael to get back together. I am sad to see the show end. Kellie, Boston, MA very disappointing finale....best part was joey and chandler on the floor, and hugging. steve, salt lake city, ut I screamed in glee when Rachel appeared at Ross's doorway! They HAD to keep Ross and Rachel together. The finale was everything I had hoped for and more. Admittedly, it was a bit of a stretch that Emma and Ben were nowhere in sight, but let's remember that the show was not about the kids. Rest in peace, "Friends." You will never be forgotten. Helen, Boston "Friends" was easily the most overrated, over-hyped TV series featuring the most spoiled, overpaid stars in recent memory. Someone should have pulled the plug after the first couple of seasons. The so called "grand" finale was nothing special, almost as bad as the last "Seinfeld" (which was actually a decent series). Is it REALLY over? somebody pinch me!... dave chavers, nashua, nh
