Why couldn't any of the females last night remembered to wear bras?? Granted they all do have amazing breasts but all of the nipple shots (Angelina Jolie, Maria Menunos, Melissa Rivers) were totally unecessary.

Billy Crystal and the commercials were the best part!!!!

Well put together! One of the few Oscars I could last through. The attire was stunning, especially Oprah & Nicole Kidman's lovely gowns. Tired of Joan Rivers' sarcasim, but that's fine, botox has done well by her. I loved Billy Crystal's last remark, "What happens at the Oscars, stay's here." Wouldn't you know, I'm in Las Vegas.

Yet another aspect of entertainment suffering from the backlash over the Super Bowl halftime show. Bland and boring. How about some spontaneity? How about some cleavage? Give me something to stay tuned for. I couldn't make it past the three live performances of nominees for song from a movie. If those were the "best", then what was the worst, a cat screeching? a kazoo? What in the world happened to Sting? He's been horrible for almost a decade now. I woke up an hour later to see the last of all of the expected winners making a speech. Yikes, was it a tremendous waste of time.

Watching that idiot Michael Moore get squished like the cockroach that he is in the opening sequence was without a doubt the highlight of the evening.

Bill Murray should have won the Oscar for best actor. What did Sean Penn do on the screen that isn't Sean Penn in real life. Come to think of it, maybe Bill Murray on the screen was Bill Murray in real life, but...I guess I just like him better.

Lord of the Rings deserved all the accolades it received. Too bad, though, it was at the expense of other fabulous films. I just loved Lost in Translation; everything about it. I talked about it, thought about it for days, weeks, after seeing it. Such a complex little film that really touched me and make me remember all those little films of the 70's, before big budgets, big actors and big money took over.

Why didn't Scarlet/Charlotte from Lost in Translation get nominated for, at least, a supporting role? Did she not do a fabulous job also?

Oh well...............at least Susan Sarandon kept her dress on. Looks pretty damned good for an old broad. There's hope for us all!

I think Sean Penn should keep his political views to himself and not use the Oscars as a way to "grandstand." Honestly, do we really have to listen to him just because he's a hollywood actor?

Gimmie a break!

I'm so glad LOTR got the recognition it deserved. The wins last night were definately for the whole trilogy and not just the final instalment. Since I think of it as 1 whole movie anyways, this was definately a fitting night for them. I couldn't be any happier

Alison Kraus's two songs were the two high points of the show. She showed great poise, deep emotion, and the highest degree of professionalism - everything that the rest of the show lacked.

The TV preshow interviewer/announcer in the audience was obnoxious. I hope we don't ever see him again.

Glad to Billy Chrystal back. Overall an excellent show
