Stars over Boston

Email|Print| Text size + By Nick A. Zaino III
Globe Correspondent / November 19, 2007

Boston became a mini Tinseltown this summer, when at least three major studio productions were filming here. It's not the first time Hollywood has come to the Hub, a fact the Brattle Theatre has been highlighting with its Boston Filmed series. Tonight, it's "The Bostonians," the 1984 Merchant/Ivory adaptation of the Henry James novel about the suffragette movement, starring Christopher Reeve (at left, with Madeleine Potter) and Vanessa Redgrave. The series continues through Thursday with films like "Between the Lines," "The Friends of Eddie Coyle," and the original 1968 version of "The Thomas Crown Affair." 7 p.m. $9.50. The Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge, 617-876-6837. brattlefilm.org
