Something in the way he drives

Email|Print| Text size + By Nick A. Zaino III
Globe Correspondent / January 7, 2008

The Brattle is showing some of its staff's all-time favorite films, including "Gattaca," tomorrow's sci-fi selection, and "Underground," a surrealistic Serbian film about a group of people who take shelter in a subterranean factory. Tonight's film is "Two-Lane Blacktop," a 1971 grindhouse road movie about a driver and a mechanic drag-racing their way across the country. James Taylor (right) plays the driver, but don't look for the soundtrack - none was ever released. And don't expect to hear Taylor sing; this was strictly an acting job. 5:15, 7:30, and 9:45 p.m. $7.50, $9.50. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge. 617-876-6837. brattlefilm.org
