'The Holy Modal Rounders...Bound to Lose'

At the Museum of Fine Arts tonight it's a screening of "The Holy Modal Rounders . . . Bound to Lose," a documentary that follows the career highs and lows of the Holy Modal Rounders, a 1960s folk duo with a cult following that you may know from the "Easy Rider" soundtrack. A live performance by the Velocity Ramblers, a band led by one of the original Rounders, Peter Stampfel, will follow the movie. Playing with the band tonight will be the Rounders' former drummer, actor-playwright Sam Shepard. 7 p.m. $18. MFA, 465 Huntington Ave., Boston. 617-369-3687. mfa.org
