They love the '80s

Email|Print| Text size + By Nick A. Zaino III
Globe Correspondent / March 10, 2008

According to the Brattle Theatre (and much of VH1's programming), the '80s were boom times for music and movies. The Brattle is celebrating this dynamic cultural duo with "The 80s Rock!" series, running through Wednesday. Tonight's program is a punk-scored double feature - "Class of 1984," about a drug-dealing gang led by a piano prodigy that terrorizes a high school, at 5:30 and 9:30, and "Repo Man," with Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton chasing down a Chevy Malibu with an eerie glowing trunk, at 7:30. $9.50. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge. 617-876-6837. brattlefilm.org
