Coping in the closet

Globe Staff / April 9, 2008

Tonight's installment of Chicks Make Flicks, a series run by Women in Film and Video New England, features the work of Abigail Child, whose collage-like experimental movies often explore sexuality and gender roles. The film being screened, the 50-minute "On the Downlow," fits that bill. It's about four African-American men, ages 20 to 32, coping with closeted lives as bisexuals in Cleveland. It will be screened with a short called "The Party." 7 p.m. Free. MIT campus, 77 Massachusetts Ave., Room 6-120, 617-987-0259. wifvne.org
