It's electric

April 12, 2008

Today at the MFA, you can get a close look at the man who was recently portrayed on the big screen by everyone from Cate Blanchett to Richard Gere. "The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival" shows Dylan at the 1965 festival, when he surprised the crowd by going electric. Apparently, the plugged-in sound didn't go over so well with the folkies. The film is part of the museum's "The Music Films of Murray Lerner" series. 3 p.m. Film screens through April 20. $9. Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Ave., Boston. 617-369-3687. mfa.org
