As part of its "Grand Slam Movie Series," the New England Aquarium screens 1992's "A League of Their Own," a film about two sisters who join a women's baseball league during World War II. The cast includes Tom Hanks, Geena Davis (above), and Madonna, who plays a saucy centerfielder. The Grand Slam series runs on Thursday nights at the IMAX Theatre throughout the summer. Up next week is the 1989 Charlie Sheen flick "Major League." 8:10 p.m. $5, $3 for children 3 to 11 and anyone who eats at the Aquarium restaurant the Reef before the film.
