Reveling in song
Monday, 10/6: Sing loud and sing proud with the Revels as the group celebrates the launch of its new website at Tommy Doyle's in Cambridge. Its music director will lead the singing, with selections coming from a pocket pub-sing songbook, which is included in the price of admission. 96 Winthrop St., Cambridge, 6 p.m. $15. 617-972-8300.

Energized exhibit
Friday, 10/10: If you've been feeling a little sluggish, head to the MIT Museum for "Energy Night," which showcases energy research and entrepreneurship from MIT's Energy Club. The event will include drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and live music. MIT Museum, Building N51, 265 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 5:30 p.m. Free. 617-253-5927.

Fresh films at ICA
Saturday, 10/11: Instead of the same old, same old at the megaplex, check out the International Experimental Cinema Exposition, a one-day screening of new and archival experimental films from Boston and around the world, hosted by the Institute of Contemporary Art. After the screening, filmmakers will be on hand for a question-and-answer session with the audience. Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Ave., 6 p.m. $10. 617-478-3103.
