What do you do to boost morale at Christmas when you're on Mars and the oxygen generator and gravity-control pod malfunction? You put on a show, of course - a Christmas pageant. The sci-fi film "Christmas on Mars" is the creation of psychedelic rock band Flaming Lips, who provide the soundtrack and the director (Lips frontman Wayne Coyne), and appear alongside comedian Fred Armisen and actor Adam Goldberg. 1:30, 3:30, 5:30, 7:30 p.m. (through Nov. 9). $9.50, $7.50 students, $6.50 seniors. The Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Harvard Square, Cambridge. 617-876-6837. www.brattlefilm.org
