In honor of Veterans Day, we offer up a 1943 film that was made to boost morale during World War II and pay musical tribute to American soldiers. Irving Berlin's "This Is the Army" is part of the Boston Public Library's "In Honor of Veterans Film Series" which runs through Nov. 24. Tonight's 90-minute flick stars Berlin and Kate Smith as themselves (yes, Smith sings "God Bless America"), and Ronald Reagan as Johnny Jones. 6 p.m. Free. Boston Public Library Rabb Lecture Hall, 700 Boylston St., Boston. 617-536-5400, ext. 4319. www.bpl.org
