IN THE LINE OF FIRE
(Starz on Comcast) Clint Eastwood’s follow-up to “Unforgiven’’ has a squinty style and rumpled panache. He plays a guilt-ridden Secret Service agent haunted by the belief that he could have saved JFK in Dallas in 1963. Eastwood has a wonderful adversary in John Malkovich, a snakelike CIA-trained assassin who plans to kill the current president and regularly phones to taunt Eastwood with the latter’s secret nightmare. Wolfgang Petersen directed this smart, slick thriller. (R; runs through May 9)

(Comcast Movies: All Movies) The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles get a computer-generated upgrade in the name of stopping evil ancient warriors from destroying the world. This is junk-food pastry: The plot is the wrapper, the action is the oily spongy cake. And the message (family, family, family) is the processed cream filling. (HBO on Comcast) A comedy about the love that dare not speak its name: that of one straight guy for another. Paul Rudd looks for a best friend to be his best man; Jason Segel is the schlump who up-ends his life. “The Odd Couple’’ retooled for an age of male social performance anxiety, it’s rude, funny, and predictable.
