Halloween concert built on dark notes
Ran Blake’s wearing a gentle, even angelic expression. He’s explaining why he chose Alfred Hitchcock’s “Shadow of a Doubt’’ (1943) and Claude Chabrol’s “Le Boucher’’ (1970) as the movie double bill for tomorrow night’s free Halloween concert at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall. This is the seventh in the annual series presided over by Blake, 76.
