No, I'm not kidding -- there's a sequel in the works, or so says the L.A. Times. It's just at the maybe stage so far: William Monahan is thinking about a storyline, and Scorsese is thinking about directing his first sequel. Makes sense, actually, since "Infernal Affairs," the Hong Kong original, went the multi-sequel route.

But who in "Departed" is even left alive? Here's the good part: Mark Wahlberg's Dignam. And the report says a certain Mr. DeNiro might get involved too. Could be a great idea. Could be the worst idea ever.
