Today in exclamatory press releases
Word came today that a theme song has been chosen for "Quantum of Solace," the new Bond movie that sounds like an old Yes record. The press notice promises something historic: the "first duet in Bond history" but says nothing of the wackadoo synergy. Jack White ("one of the most enigmatic singers in music") and Alicia Keys (who "has changed the face of popular music since she burst onto the scene") have teamed up to deliver unto us "Another Way to Die." The movie dominates the world in November, the soundtrack arrives the month before. In the meantime, here's some classic 007 opening-sequence nonsense set to Carly Simon. Lil Wayne has got nothin' here on her in the filth department.
