Chat with Ty today at 1

Posted by Ty Burr January 9, 2009 08:07 AM

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today I'll be here in this space to discuss movies, Oscar candidates, why "Bride Wars" is so darn dumb, and more. See you then.

  1. An indicator of an excellent film is, in my opinion, when days later the images are still playing in your head and you can't stop thinking about the film. It has been two weeks since I saw Slumdog Millionaire and I can't forget it, or the stunned exhausation I felt leaving the theater. I went to see the movie based on your review, and feel as if I walked unwarned into something that you did not even hint about in your review. I thought your description if it as a sprawling romance did not even come close to depicting the type of movie it is.
