The box office's top position is up for grabs. After "The Avengers" dominated for nearly a month, "Men in Black 3" took over before being bested by "Snow White and the Huntsman" this week. Will we see another changing of the guard? Can "Prometheus," Ridley Scott's highly-anticipated return to sci-fi, knock Snow White and the evil queen from their throne? Or will a flood of families propel the third "Madagascar" film atop the box office? Check out this week's openings.

"Prometheus" (R) Find showtimes, 3-D showtimes, and IMAX 3-D showtimes

Director Ridley Scott swears this won't be an "Alien" prequel. Fans will likely be happy either way.

"Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted" (PG) Find showtimes and 3-D showtimes

Another chapter in the DreamWorks saga of animals returning to the circus. Featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, and David Schwimmer.

"Bel Ami" (R) Find showtimes

A week after Kristen Stewart's "Snow White and the Huntsman" was released, her boyfriend Robert Pattinson follows with this film in which he's wanted by every woman in Paris from Christina Ricci to Kristin Scott Thomas.

"Hysteria" (R) Find showtimes

A period piece about the invention of the vibrator. You read that correctly.

"Nobody Else But You" (NR) Find showtimes

This French film follows a crime novelist deep into the tale of a Marilyn Monroe-esque model who apparently commits suicide.

"Peace, Love and Misunderstanding" (R) Find showtimes

Jane Fonda as a hippie. Not a stretch. Catherine Keener as her lawyer daughter headed to the commune? With Elizabeth Olsen as Keener's daughter? Well, OK, that all makes some sense, too.
