Make way for "The Dark Knight Rises." That's exactly what the big studios are doing this week by not releasing a single competitor. Meanwhile, we get a few smaller foreign releases, but truly, this week belongs to Batman. Freida Pinto of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame stars in this British adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel "Tess of the d'Urbervilles" about a young woman torn between her upbringing and wider opportunity.

"Unforgivable" (NR)

This French thriller focuses on a crime novelist with a turbulent past and new marriage.
