This Whoopi Goldberg vehicle has good news for any fan who has ever thought they should be coach: you probably should. Goldberg plays a New York Knicks super-fan who is tapped, mostly as a publicity stunt, to helm the struggling squad during another losing season. Surprisingly, the new coach starts to get through to the players, including a disgruntled star (played by late NBA player Malik Sealy). Former Celtic Rick Fox plays a Knick, alongside cameos from numerous NBA stars including Gary Payton, Mitch Richmond, and Dennis Rodman.
