Brendan Fraser (second from left) stars as a Harvard student whose thesis gets stolen by a bum, Simon Wilder (Joe Pesci). Wilder agrees to return the thesis page-by-page if every day Fraser’s Monty Kessler does him a favor. Wilder’s character becomes a font of wisdom and teaches Kessler about life.
