'Carrie'

Carrie

(1976)

In the film adaptation of Stephen King's book, Carrie (Sissy Spacek) is a social outcast, gifted with telekinetic powers. She is relentlessly harassed by her classmates, particularly Chris Hargensen (Nancy Allen), who is banned from attending the prom for being mean to Carrie. As revenge, Chris sets up a trap which douses Carrie with pigs blood during the prom, but the plot goes awry as Carrie unleashes her powers on the school, killing nearly everyone at the prom.
