Stars descended on the Gibson Amphitheater for the 18th annual MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, Calif., on May 31.

Pictured: Actress Kristen Stewart, who played the role of Bella Swan in "Twilight," made an appearance on the red carpet before the show. "Twilight" was a big hit during the ceremony, winning five awards, including best female performance for Stewart.
