During the opening and closing of each episode of the television series, Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) walks through a series of doors, including a telephone booth, which drops him via elevator into the headquarters for the spy agency CONTROL. A film remake of the series, starring Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99, is due out in June 2008.
