Screen legend Jean Harlow died of uremic poisoning brought on by acute nephritis (or kidney disease) just one month before the national release of her 1937 film "Saratoga." Set in the upstate New York horse-racing town of the same name, "Saratoga" also stars Clark Gable (left).
