Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

(1989)

In order to pass their history class, Bill (Alex Winter, left) and Ted (Keanu Reeves, right) must get an A+ on their class presentation. So Bill and Ted use a telephone booth time machine to collect historical figures (Sigmund Freud, Joan of Arc, and Socrates, to name a few) for their presentation. If only all school projects could be like that.
