'Shadow of the Vampire'

(2000)

"Shadow of the Vampire" tells the rumored-to-be-true story of the 1922 filming of the silent film "Nosferatu," whose star Max Schreck was a method actor and allegedly continued his role off camera. The 2000 interpretation of the story directed by E. Elias Merhige stars Willem Dafoe (right) as Max Schreck, the actor who originally portrayed the vampire Count Orlok.
