Harry Potter celebrations in Greater Boston
Through Sept. 5: Marauder's Map quest
The Harvard Museum of Natural History kicked off its Harry Potter scavenger hunt July 9. Pick up a Marauders Map to test your knowledge about Harrys wizarding world, and explore specimens such as wolfsbane (Potter fans may know this plant as the main ingredient in Wolfsbane Potion, which relieves the symptoms of lycanthropy).
On the 27th, the museum's "summer nights" series will center on all things Hogwarts. Dress up as your favorite character and learn how potions, wands, and magic have origins in the natural world.
$9/adults, $7/non-Harvard students, $6 children 3-18, www.hmnh.harvard.edu
