Steely Dan announces 47-city tour

Steely Dan is hitting the road.

Donald Fagen and Walter Becker will begin a 47-city Jamalot Ever After tour in Portland, Ore. on July 2, rounding it out in Baltimore on Sept. 17.

The duo will stop at Boston’s Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Sept. 6 and will be backed by an eight-piece band and a trio of vocalists. Tickets for the Boston show go on sale April 25.

Fans will be treated “to selections from The Dan’s extraordinary four-decade catalog, rich with infectious tunes, bodacious harmonies, irresistible grooves, and sleek, subversive lyrics, punctuated by blazing solo work and rich ensembles,” according to a statement.
